Description

The Badlands National Park in South Dakota is such a unique place. Most people think of the horizontal bands of rock, but I wanted to highlight the vertical features of the mountains there—the harsh lines and stark colors of the jagged buttes, spires, and pinnacles against the sun-faded sky. As someone who deeply loves and appreciates the great outdoors, my goal is to paint every one of our national parks, capturing my own interpretation of what makes each one special. Topher Straus
